The University of Sheffield's Director of Estates has spoken for the first

The University of Sheffield's Director of Estates has spoken for
the first time about the proposed development of Ashdell's gardens.
Speaking to the Sheffield Telegraph, John MacDonald said that
any "low density" development would be entirely sympathetic
with Ashdell's surroundings.
According to Mr MacDonald, the University is exploring the potential
of a number of properties, and in the case of Ashdell, testing
the reaction of planners and residents.
If there was "strong interest" in returning Ashdell
to family accommodation, Mr MacDonald stated that the University
would look carefully at that possibility.
